"What a surprise!" I think that this audio book will be listened to time and time again by my young niece, and is set to become a firm favourite. 'Songs from a Shell' isn't just an audio book; it's total entertainment from start to finish.
What other book might you compare Songs from a Shell to, and why? To be honest I think that this book is totally unique. I've listened to audio books before and they just consisted of an actor reading the story. Not so with this one. The story is there, but it is enhanced by an absolutely brilliant soundtrack. It's one of a kind as far as I can see.
What does Jenifer Pederson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book? I loved Jenifer Pederson's voice and her accent really set the tone of life on the beach in the summertime. Hearing the story brought it to life; far more than if you had simply read the book
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you? The whole book was fun and uplifting. I couldn't pick out one particular part that was better than the rest.
Any additional comments? A fantastic audio book for young children. The soundtrack is amazing.
