As most will know, Pixies can makes themselves invisible so it is extremely difficult, nay impossible, to take pictures of them. If it were otherwise social media would be littered with pictures of pixies leading everyone a merry dance. Crabby must have forgotten all about this little matter when he asked the others to take a few pictures of the pixies. Barnacle suggested that Crabby should give the camera to the pixies and ask them to take selfies whereupon the others burst into howls of laughter. (How could you find a pixie to ask them to take a selfie if they can't be seen. You might end up looking rather silly if others see you talking to a mushroom, tree or just fresh air!) In an instant (a Eureka moment!) Pearl thought of the answer and blurted out, 'even if we can't see the pixies we should be able to see their shadows.' Realising the potential of this idea Crabby butted in, 'yes, yes, quite so Pearl I was just waiting to see which one of you would come up with the correct answer. Now if you go along to Spyglass Lane and head towards the cliff.'
A surprised Sunset asked, 'Why the cliff?'
'Well at night, if there is a full moon whenever you see a cliff you will usually find the shadows nearby.' Mused Skipper.
Rainbow suggested that 'pixies are fond of music and dancing so if some songs were played the pixies may hop along to join in the merriment.'
It was with these happy thoughts that Rainbow, Poet and Tellins had ventured out on their quest. Several moons had waxed and waned, the pals put a few signs up announcing a 'pixies in the park music festival' had played their music as suggested and snapped away at the cliffs and the night sky and here are the results.
